Lord Ganesh is the elephant-headed Hindu deity that is most widely known as the Remover of Obstacles and the God of New Beginnings. Traditionally, his Blessings are invoked at the start of any new endeavor or at the threshold of a New Year. Ganesh is also revered as the embodiment of knowledge, wisdom, prosperity, and good fortune. He is the son of Shiva, The Destroyer and Parvati, The Divine Mother (the wife of Shiva). Lord Ganesh is traditionally depicted with four arms, one tusk, and rides on, or is attended to by his faithful mouse, symbolizing humility and discernment. He is known by many sacred names, most notably, Ganesha and Ganapati.
Join us for a 3-hour Ganesh Puja (devotional ceremony) as we invoke the Blessings of Lord Ganesh to clear the roads and open the path to Health, Happiness and Prosperity as we begin the New Year!
Throughout this sacred gathering we will honor Lord Ganesh with prayers, devotional songs, sweets and offerings of flowers. The puja will culminate with a beautiful, guided meditation to support you in declaring or enhancing your New Year Resolutions(s) and Intention(s) while connecting you more fully with your own Divine Presence within.
