Join us for an extraordinary day of Meditating, Healing and Dancing with some of New York’s finest Wholistic Practitioners and Musicians who are Masters of their craft. From Meditation to Mental Health, to Yoga, Massage and a Tibetan Bowl Sound Bath you are in for a treat!

And to culminate our Conference we’ve invited our Djembe Orchestra to play for us as we ALL celebrate the Love, Friendship and Magnificence of our community in our traditional West African BANTABA! You don’t have to know how to dance, just come and be ready to dance, play and have a good ol’ time.

10:30AM: Welcome/Meditation
Reverend Nafisa Sharriff/Founder & CEO
Reverend Nafisa Sharriff is a Meditation Master who will discuss the fundamentals of meditation, as well as the benefits of meditation and various techniques used in meditation. The highlight of her presentation will be a guided meditation where you will experience firsthand the beauty of quieting your mind, relaxing your body, opening your heart and being at Peace with yourself. https://ethoh.org/
11:15AM: Yoga
Dr. Aminata (Amikole) Maraesa
Dr. Amínata (Amíkolé) Maraesa’s presentation will begin with a brief introduction of the history of yoga – its philosophy, practice, and benefits – which will be followed by a Vinyasa-style yoga class – yoga that links movement and breath to attain balance in the mind and body. Also known as “Flow Yoga,” Vinyasa yoga is suitable for all levels of ability and range of motion. Wearing loose comfortable clothing for this presentation is highly recommended. @Amikole5
12:15PM: Talk Saves Lives: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention
Dionne C. Monsanto
Dionne’s presentation will bring awareness to the scope of the problem of suicide and what research shows while empowering participants with strategies for managing their mental health and being proactive about self-care. Deidre A. Johnson
Deidre’s presentation will consist of the discussion of the importance of massage, physical therapy and ergonomics (the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders) in everyday life. 3:15PM: Meditation and Aromatherapy
Beverely Aminata Spencer
